With ornate stained glass windows and cathedral ceilings, this magnificent venue boasts vintage charm with contemporary amenities. I cannot say enough about this hidden gem!” This former church, build in 1924, is now a unique and gorgeous multipurpose event space.
Clients fall in love with the beautiful, historic architecture. The Steeple Center is nearly 100 years old. When the congregation outgrew the space, the city of Rosemount purchased the building in 2004. Renovations in 2015 added a full catering kitchen, expanded restrooms, a lobby area that features a comfy fireplace, gorgeous windows and café style seating, an outdoor patio area, three multi-purpose rooms, and a conference room.
“We are home to our local arts council- which hosts theater productions, concerts, book fairs and several other events in the space. In terms of rentals, we can accommodate everything from weddings to birthdays, anniversaries, graduation parties, celebrations of life, banquets, fundraisers, workshops and more, “ shared Stephanie Baumann, Recreation Coordinator. Capacity at The Steeple Center is 200 guests.
While the additions added convenience and more opportunities for hospitality, the allure and original design remain untarnished. “You get the historic charm and church feel, but we also have many modern amenities such as our full catering kitchen in the newer portion of the building,” commented Stephanie.
Bride Misty B seconds that statement. ““This was the perfect place to have our wedding! The remodel of the old church is breathtaking. Still has the old charm, the stain glass windows, but with an updated interior”, she said.
In addition to the design of the venue, the price is quite attractive and the staff are the cherries on top! “Even more amazing than the space itself is the price! You have the use of the main hall, a large lobby area, rooms for the wedding party, a professional kitchen and a lovely courtyard. The main hall is very large and accommodated both the ceremony and reception for our 80 guests without changing set-up. However- for a larger wedding- the staff will convert the space from chairs to tables. You are allowed to use your own servers for professionally-prepared food but don’t need to use designated caterers, which saved us thousands!
The Steeple Center staff were absolutely fabulous to work with. They were responsive, accommodating, and very pleasant. They obviously enjoy hosting events and understand the importance of your big day- eagerly working with you to realize your vision.
